Riveria Travel appoints new chief technology…

Rob Snelson takes over a newly created position in December

Tour operator Riviera Travel has hired Rob Snelson to fill his new role as CTO.

Snelson (pictured) will be responsible for the river cruise and companion travel specialist’s business technology strategy, which will include the development of growth initiatives.

He will report to CEO Phil Hullah.

Before joining the Burton-on-Trent-based company, he was chief technology officer at Travel Counselors for five years.

Snelson, who takes office in December, said, “Technology is a critical enabler of any business strategy, and Riviera’s IT team will play a key role in the company’s continued success.

“I look forward to supporting my business and IT colleagues with their goals and ambitions when I join later this year.”

Hullah added: “He brings a wealth of experience, both in technology transformation and from his years working in the travel industry.

“Technology will play a critical role in the evolution and growth of our business and Rob’s appointment will help us support these ambitions.”
