Accelya names former IBM VP as…

UK-based Andrew Wilcock will take on the newly created role to spearhead the technology solutions firm’s New Distribution Capability One Order strategy.

Travel technology solutions provider Accelya has appointed Andrew Wilcock to the newly created role of Chief Revenue Officer.

Based in the UK and a member of the company’s executive committee, Wilcock will drive One Order of the company’s New Distribution Capability and plans to deliver NDC 2.0.

Creating the position sees him take responsibility for all “go-to-market” functions as the company “continues to drive value and innovation for its customers,” Accelya said.

Wilcock joins Accelya from IBM, where he held a series of senior leadership positions over two decades, most recently as Vice President of Ecosystems, UK and Ireland.

He said: “As the aviation sector rapidly recovers, I can’t think of a more exciting industry to join and, within that, a more innovative company than Accelya.

“Building on our heritage as a leading global technology provider, we now also look to define the One Order of NDC and the path to NDC 2.0. I am committed to driving greater trust and relevance for our partners through innovation and co-creation.”

José María Hurtado, interim CEO of Accelya, added, “Andrew’s unmatched experience at IBM, the world’s original and innovative technology company, will be invaluable to our partners.”

“This appointment is part of Accelya’s commitment to becoming the employer of choice in the air transport industry and our focus on talent to further transform the industry for the better.”
